The top one is a Rubin (Glen) and no that’s not fried egg, it’s cheese that was melted in a microwave, the rye bread was pushed onto the plate and the plate was tipped over. If we ever wonder when Glen developed heart disease it was 12:15 pm on this date. The lower one a is a Pastrami (Kurt), that’s mustard poking out the edge and all meat. The guy got both pieces out of a broiler and cut them up in front of us. 3 hours later and still full as a goog.
Just had a flashback to all the NY deli meals I’ve eaten. Thanks for the post (and pics) Kurt, I’d forgotten how much I missed them. x
When I lived in Boston, I used to have to remove 3/4 of the meat before I could eat a sandwich! Hope you’re having fun. Didn’t tell me if you’re coming back via Singapore?
